This is it. I just went back through my drafts page of this blog and counted way too many half-finished drafts of “today I’m launching my blog” posts. When in the world did I start letting fear creep in and keep me from doing things I wanted to do?! I started a very brand new concept of a wedding business from scratch in a brand new place without a fear in the world, other than the strong possibility of the Air Force telling us we would be moving anywhere in the world 12 months later… but I took a chance and did it anyway. (And God provided, and we got to stay in the Pensacola area, only moving 40 minutes east.) And it was amazing. And hard. But successful in both business and in my own personal growth. I’ve always been a go-getter and the girl who doesn’t take no for an answer, so why is this any different? Why does a silly little blog seem so daunting to me? No idea… but here goes. Launching in 3, 2, 1.
First I thought this blog would be about business, babies, and life in The South… because that was the season of life I was in when I started it. Then things went dormant because twin babies + a 22 month-older big sister is nutso and a blog was the last thing I had time for, no matter how bad I wanted it to happen. When I wanted to pick back up, life was full of travel, home renovations, a cross-country move from Florida back home to Texas, and lots and lots of big life changes and transitions. Life happened, fear crept in (again, not real sure why), and this little pet project got put on hold, again. Fast forward a year. The house is mostly renovated, we aren’t traveling much these days thanks to COVID-19, and we’re home a lot more… the girls aren’t in school either, so now we spend a lot of our days outside finally landscaping our front yard and planting our little big garden that I dreamed up thanks to some major Instagram inspiration. I’ve learned SO much from online friends and blogs, and this is something I love and can talk forever about to anyone and everyone, so it seemed like a natural fit to start here. We have some pretty incredible Before and After pictures of our total home renovation that will blow your mind that I’ll share soon too!
Cheers to fun new beginnings and finally making it happen!
